PAYSAN
Roughly meaning "hillbilly", the term was used by Parisian salonnières to describe rustic country folk resisting modernization. We adopted it for our first label to reflect our choice to make approachable, balanced wines in a lesser-known region, focusing on quality and tradition over size and scores. These wines, with minimal oak influence, offer great value and often rival those twice the price.
LA MAREA
Named for the tide, these wines honor the ocean, its influence on our climate, and the ancient sea beds where the vines grow. Inspired by Monterey's Spanish and Mexican heritage, they reflect a balance of tradition and the enduring nature of great wines. Like the tides, their quality persists through changing trends. We focus on grapes suited to sun and sea, such as Albariño and Grenache, echoing other coastal regions like Rías Baixas and the Southern Rhône.

This label highlights the best of our region, showcasing single-vineyard wines that represent its unique qualities. We feature established properties like Bates Ranch and Massa Vineyard, as well as newer sites like Escolle Vineyard and Eden Rift. Only the finest vineyards make it into I. Brand & Family wines.
